Apa ada pada Jamban..
According to Wkipedia dictionary; Blue Ocean Strategy is a business strategy that promotes a systematic approach for making the competition irrelevant.
Contoh di bawah diambil dari blog Serrina:
1. Perniagaan warung kopi
red ocean strategy: bukak warung di tepi jalan jual kopi satu gelas RM 1, untung 30sen - 50 sen.
blue ocean strategy: bukak cafe kopi di tempat2 tumpuan, taruk jenama mcm Starbuck/Coffee Bean, taruk wireless internet, air cond, kopi sedap2 letak rega RM10 segelas pun orang berpusu-pusu.
2. Astro vs TV1, TV2, TV3, 8TV & TV9
red ocean strategy : TV1, TV2, TV3 dan lain2 adalah stesen tv percuma.
blue ocean strategy: Dtg pula perniagaan drpd laut biru membawa fenomena 'nak tgk tv kene bayar'. Mula2 nampak pelik, yg lain free dia kene bayar tapi kini berapa ramai yg melanggannya? Kenapa mereka sanggup bayar sedangkan yg free ada?
3. AIR Asia vs MAS
red ocean strategy : MAS ialah sebuah syarikat penerbangan. Tambangnya anda sedia maklum. Standard harga ratus2.
blue ocean strategy: Tiba2 muncul sykt dr mana ntah offer tambang serendah RM10, RM4.99 dll...jauh lebih rendah drpd sykt penerbangan yg dah lama bertapak. Apa kata org ramai? Gila.....confirm lingkup tak lama lagi. Naik bas pun berbelas ringgit, kapal terbang RM4.99? Gila. Dan kini gila itu menjadi nyata, orang ramai bertukar kpd penerbangan mereka, mereka mampu membesarkan perniagaan dan membeli beberapa buah kapal terbang sendiri. Kini syarikat yg dari ntah mana ntah tu menggugat kedudukan sykt penerbangan kebanggaan negara yg selama ini gah dimata dunia.
Now, back to the ‘Jamban’ story, entah apa ‘jembalang’ dah menyampuk brother aku –Azimin Samsul Mohamed Tazilan, a lecturer/researcher in Interior, Art & Design faculty, UKM, managed to come out with a brilliant ideas & concepts of breathing ‘jamban(doors, ceiling roof & walls) based on our Tok Daud’s kampung house(err.. I mean jamban) in Sungai bayor, Selama Perak.
And you know what???
He eventually won a Double Gold award at British Invention Show(2007) - Britain largest expo to showcase the latest inventions, innovations and new technology around from around the globe.
Again, Blue Ocean strategy concept was applied here.
red ocean strategy: Conventional jamban like in Pudu Raya.
